About the Therapist
Your guide, support, and advocate through life’s strongest storms.
Meet Lydia Anthony, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor #85822
Founder | Owner | Therapist
Welcome! I am glad to have you here.
My practice is informed by 5 years of working diverse roles in the mental health field—from inpatient to outpatient, teens to adults, individual to group therapy, and case management to crisis work.
My practice is also shaped by my own life experiences, which taught me that you can find transformation, healing, and growth even within your own personal storms. I started Rejoice in the Rain Counseling to help you discover that hope for yourself.

Some challenges can be complex, severe, or long-term. One of my specialties is offering clear, step-by-step guidance for those who need more structure than traditional “talk” therapy. This approach provides safety, stability, and consistency in the therapeutic journey.
-
We work together to create new “systems” in your life that lead to real, lasting change. This 3-step framework includes:
Clarifying your goals and designing a customized treatment plan.
Exploring how your thoughts, emotions, actions, relationships, and circumstances influence your experiences—negative, positive, and everything in-between.
Building a toolbox of strategies for symptom relief, coping, social support, communication, boundaries, and other skills you need to thrive.
-
Many individuals struggle with broader systemic issues that impact their mental health, such as financial stress, healthcare access, or navigating accommodations, disability paperwork, or unemployment. Our approach builds case management into therapy, which connects you to the right resources and walks you through how to use them. As a result, you can focus on YOU again without feeling overwhelmed.
-
Stress and trauma affect not just your mind but also your body (for example, constantly feeling on edge and alert, aches or pain without a clear medical cause, or even contributing to chronic or autoimmune conditions). I use somatic techniques to help you notice these reactions, reduce tension, and respond in calmer, healthier ways. Over time, these skills help you feel more grounded and capable in everyday life.
-
Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I recognize that. I work with you to explore creative strategies that fit your personality, goals, and lifestyle, making therapy feel practical, authentic, and effective. I also recognize and validate experiences that feel isolating, unexplainable, or hard to share—without labeling or pathologizing you.
What does the therapy process look like?
Please note that each individual’s therapy journey is different and may vary from the example above.
